Christian Fanning Eastern Washington Football: He Makes Long Field Goals



Christian Fanning of Eastern Washington Football graduated from Cathedral Catholic High School in San Diego in 2013. Soon after that he committed to the Eastern Washington University football program.

Christian Fanning of Eastern Washington Football is a highly regarded kicker. “Christian is a very solid kicker,” one coach said. “He gets the ball up quickly and has excellent height on his kicks. 

Cathedral Catholic High School is a football powerhouse in San Diego prep athletics, and Christian Fanning of Eastern Washington Football was one of its standout players. During one memorable stretch, he hit 17 of 17 extra points and kicked a 45 yard field goal that sailed ten more yards over the goal posts. His longest field goal was a 51-yarder. It takes a lot to rattle Christian Fanning of Eastern Washington Football, and making long field goals are just part of his game. “I like competition and thrive when under pressure,” he says.

At Cathedral Catholic, Christian Fanning of Eastern Washington Football earned first team All-Eastern League honors in 2012.  As a senior, he made 8-of-11 field goal attempts and converted 37-of-40 point after touchdown attempts. In addition to his 51-yard field goal, he hit three-pointers of 45 and 43 yards. As a junior he made 7-of-9 field goals with a long of 40, and made 30-of-34 extra points. His school was 12-1 in his junior season.

Christian Fanning of Eastern Washington Football is studying Fitness and Sports Medicine.
