Christian Fanning of Eastern Washington
Football is turning into a leader on and off the gridiron, and he has learned
the importance of being a contributing member of his community.
Christian Fanning of Eastern Washington
Football is working hard to become the starting kicker for the EWU Eagles. He
has been a strong kicker through youth football programs and on into high
school, where he was the star kicker for the Cathedral Catholic Dons. He was
thrilled to be recruited by the Eastern Washington University football program.
From the seventh through the twelfth
grades, Christian Fanning of Eastern Washington Football was involved with a
philanthropic group called Teen Volunteers in Action, a San Diego organization
whose purpose was and is exclusively educational and charitable. Through the
TVIA, Christian Fanning of Eastern Washington Football got involved in numerous
community causes, including serving the homeless, distributing and sorting food
at local food banks, working with physically and emotionally handicapped
people, taking part in neighborhood cleanups, and working with foster care
youth, refugees, and seniors. When he was in the eighth grade, Christian
Fanning of Eastern Washington Football got involved in the TVIA's Leadership
Council and stayed with it through the twelfth grade.
Additionally, Christian of Eastern
Washington Football has donated his time to the Corazon de Vida Foundation in
Mexico. He has worked at an orphanage and brought needed supplies to the
residents. He has helped entertain the children there, and was part of a
"building a home in a day" project for a needy, homeless family in
Mexico.
