Christian Fanning of Eastern Washington Football: A Well-Rounded Individual

Christian Fanning of Eastern Washington Football has experienced a great deal of success as the kicker for the Eastern Washington University Eagles, though it’s his experiences off the field that have helped to shape him into the well-rounded individual he is today.

As a seventh grader, Christian Fanning of Eastern Washington Football chose to be involved in the Teen Volunteers in Action, or TVIA, organization, a local San Diego group designed to provide young teens the opportunity to be more active and involved in their local community. As a TIVA volunteer, Christian Fanning of Eastern Washington Football became involved in efforts to help the less fortunate of his local community. He enjoyed the opportunity to work with local food banks, the physically and emotionally handicapped, multiple park and beach cleanup efforts and much more. Through TVIA, Christian Fanning of Eastern Washington Football was able to experience the rewards of community involvement, and to learn the value, and the importance, of being an active community volunteer.

Through his involvement in TVIA, Christian Fanning of Eastern Washington Football was able to recognize the need for volunteers throughout the community, and to develop into the valued community leader he is today. By working with fellow volunteers and making a real and lasting impact in people’s lives, Christian Fanning of Eastern Washington Football became a more responsible and active member of the San Diego community. His contributions, which were numerous, proved to be an integral part of the organization’s success, and helped show many throughout the community that people were available to lend a helping hand.
