Christian Fanning Eastern Washington Football: Impressing Coaches

Christian Fanning of Eastern Washington Football says that he thrives under pressure, and is hoping there is going to be a lot of it in the coming college football season. 

Christian Fanning of Eastern Washington Football is a place kicker for the Eagles football team, who are the unanimous preseason choice of three national publications in the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision. The team opens its season on August 23 with a home game against Sam Houston State. The game will be television live on ESPN.

Coaches who have seen Christian Fanning of Eastern Washington Football over the years say he is a solid kicker who gets excellent height on his kicks. He was a star kicker for Cathedral Catholic High School in San Diego. He says that his goal at Eastern Washington University is to become the starting placekicker and kickoff specialist, and contribute to the Eagles' winning an FCS National Championship. The team is heading into the new season with two consecutive Big Sky Conference titles, and back-to-back appearances in the FCS semifinals. 

As a senior at Cathedral Catholic, Christian Fanning of Eastern Washington Football impressed coaches and fans alike by once hitting a fifty-one yard field goal, the longest of his high school career. He also had field goals of forty-five and forty-three yards that season. He earned first team All-Eastern League honors in 2012, and as a senior, he made 8-of-11 field goal attempts. He also converted 37-of-40 point after touchdown attempts.

Christian Fanning of Eastern Washington Football is currently studying Fitness and Sports Medicine.
