Christian Fanning Eastern Washington Football: Teen Volunteers In Action

Christian Fanning of Eastern Washington Football has worked for years to perfect his skills as a field goal kicker. He is currently playing in the Eastern Washington University football program and couldn’t be more proud of being an Eagle.

Christian Fanning of Eastern Washington Football hails from San Diego, California, where he was a standout player for the Cathedral Catholic High School Dons. He was named the San Diego Section Player of the Week in November 2011, The Kicking System High School Field Goal winner in February of 2012 and earned First Team All Eastern League honors in 2012. Christian Fanning of Eastern Washington Football also placed second in Kickoffs at the Colorado State University Kicking Camp.

But for Christian Fanning of Eastern Washington Football, life is not just about what happens on the gridiron. For six years, he participated in Teen Volunteers In Action (TVIA), a San Diego Philanthropy Organization for teenaged boys. The purpose of TVIA is exclusively educational and charitable. Christian Fanning of Eastern Washington Football was active in TVIA from seventh grade through twelfth grade. The TVIA organization is committed to developing community leaders through a structured program of volunteerism, philanthropy, and personal development. By the time he graduated from Cathedral Catholic High School in 2013, Christian Fanning of Eastern Washington Football has volunteered 120 hours of service to TVIA.

In the meantime, he has continued to develop his skills as a placekicker, and his coaches are convinced he has what it takes to play in one of the major college football programs. “I like competition and thrive when under pressure,” Christian Fanning of Eastern Washington Football says. “My goal is to be the starting placekicker and kickoff specialist for the Eagles and contribute to the team winning an FCS National Championship.”
