Christian Fanning Eastern Washington Football: A Very Solid Kicker

Christian Fanning of Eastern Washington Football thinks they can do it again.

As the Eastern Washington University Eagles football team head into a new season, they are coming off two consecutive Big Sky Conference titles, and have been picked by three national magazines to win the conference again. Head Coach Beau Baldwin will open practice for the team on July 31, with the season opener less than one month after that on August 23 against Sam Houston State. The game will be televised on ESPN.

Christian Fanning of Eastern WashingtonFootball is hoping to win a starting spot on the Eagles' roster. He is an outstanding placekicker who starred with the Cathedral Catholic High School team in San Diego for four years. During that time he was named the San Diego Section Player of the Week. He was The Kicking System's Combine High School Field Goal winner, and also placed second in kickoffs at Colorado State University Kicking Camp.

"Christian is a very solid kicker," one of his former coaches declared. "He gets the ball up quickly and has excellent height on his kicks."

He has always been a powerful kicker. As the kicker at Cathedral Catholic, Christian Fanning of Eastern Washington Football earned first team All-Eastern League honors in 2012. During his senior season he made 8-of-11 field goal attempts and also converted 37-of-40 point after touchdown attempts. His longest field goal was for fifty-one yards, but he also had successful field goals of 45 and 43 yards.
